I see art as a means to escape from the abundance of information with which we are bombarded. Scientific truth has helped us progress, but has not made modern people more moral. Neither will art. Yet in van Gogh’s “The Potato Eaters” we can find hope.
Having said that, I try to go to art exhibits each season.
I also have a soft spot for a low art: typography, arranging text so the reader stays unaware of it. I’ve written about the tools that may aid us, from Markdown and Word to LaTeX and Typst, in Typesetting Sys… Why Am I Doing This Again?
